In spite of our hard work and the launch of Legions, AC2 has reached
the point where it no longer makes sense to continue the service. We
will be officially closing the Asheron's Call 2 service on 12/30/05.
Until then, we plan to run live events, but we will not be adding any
content or features.

We deeply appreciate the many dedicated fans of AC2 who have stood by
us over the years. You have our sincerest gratitude.

Best regards,

Turbine Moves AC1 Home

Dear AC1 subscribers,

After significant consideration, we have decided to move the AC1 live
team back to Massachusetts. This is the right decision to support AC1
going forward, allowing us to better coordinate between the game and
support teams.

During this transition, we plan to provide uniquely fun live events
for everyone to enjoy.

Best regards,

Vijay Lakshman
VP Production, Turbine

Cost saving measure no doubt. How much longer does AC have is
anyones guess.

Not much longer would be my guess. "We have no plans at this time to
close AC1"...not much of a rousing show of support there.

AC2 never had much of a chance even though it did pretty much suck from
the beginning anyway. MS rushed it out the door (without even a
functioning chat system!) and it showed in almost every way.

It wouldn't surprise me to see MEO follow shortly.

Meanbeard, the lead content designer, is gone as well. Hopefully with
all this churn we can get some Devs in there that aren't happy to
maintain the status quo.
